Trash Bags
Trash bags ers are designed for easy disposal and sorting of organic, packaging and other waste. They are usually made of PE polyethylene or PLA tapioca starch, so they have a high tensile strength and elasticity that allows them to support several times their weight.
In addition, they are extremely strong, preventing the bags from tearing or breaking easily. They are also generally waterproof and resistant to both grease and moisture, so you won't have to worry about leaks or annoying stains when handling them.
But wait, their list of advantages doesn't end there! There's no doubt that one of the most annoying elements when disposing of food is the smell, which is why these trash bags are odourless and prevent the environment from quickly becoming laden with strong scents.
- Highly resistant
- Odour retaining

Choose the rubbish bag you need
Bin liners are essential in our day to day life, in any environment our activity produces waste. That's why it's essential to have the bin l iner that best suits you.
Our ecological rubbish bags with a capacity of 250 litres are ideal for industry, catering and gardening due to their three layers that offer great resistance, which is necessary to guarantee their consistency. We also have medium-sized 100 litre rubbish bags, ideal for communities or smaller businesses. And for your home? The household waste bags we offer are the most recommended because we know that your home is important to you.
With our rubbish bags, no waste escapes you. Because sturdy rubbish bags are an indisputable ally in our day-to-day lives.
The party is over. All the guests are here. The food was at the point you wanted it to be. Everyone has left and it's time to clean up the house.
Youtake a big rubbish bag and start throwing away everything that is left. Plates, glasses, napkins, cups, everything you bought biodegradable and disposable.
In just minutes, with just one bag, much of the mess is gone.
That's how everyday our relationship with rubbish bags is.
They are always in our drawer, waiting for us. As soon as we need them, they come to our rescue.
But has it ever happened to you that you buy a bag and it turns out to be smaller or bigger than you expected? It has happened to me, for example, that I buy a rubbish bag to dispose of some heavy things and the bag I chose is too thin... and I end up using two bags instead of one.
For situations like that, this guide is born.
No more confusion! Let's learn all about rubbish bags and stop wasting our money.
Trash bag basics
Bin liners are simply containers used to hold various types of waste. They are usually classified according to their capacity and thickness.
Rubbish bags used to be black or white. Now they can be found in different colours depending on the type of waste they contain.
- Grey or black rubbish bags: general waste.
- Orange garbage bags: organic waste.
- Green rubbish bags: contain glass containers.
- Yellow bags: designed to dispose of plastics and metal packaging.
- Blue bags: cardboard and paper waste.
- Red bags: special for the disposal of hospital and infectious materials.
Transparent rubbish bags are also available. They are commonly used in waste bins of companies and public bodies. The main reason for transparent bags is to make it easy to see the contents of what is being taken out of the institution.
Although in many cases the use of coloured bags is not compulsory, the important thing is that each waste item goes into the right bin to support recycling efforts.
Most waste bags are made from recyclable materials, so our ecological footprint is not as much of a concern as you might think.
Classification of bin liners
The following section will help you to understand the measurements and manufacturing materials of rub bish bags.
With it, I intend to stop the flow of money you might be wasting on buying the wrong size bags, mainly due to ignorance.
According to capacity
The capacity of the bag is essential to avoid wasting space or taking them to the bin.
The capacities that are generally found on the market are:
- 20 to 40 litres: special for use as rubbish bags in bedrooms and kitchens.
- 100 litres: refuse bags for small households.
- 150 to 170 litres: This type of bags are perfect for medium-sized families, where a considerable amount of waste is generated, but manageable.
- 200 litres: ideal for businesses and large households.
- 246 litres : rubbish bags designed for industries.
- 360 lit res: the same as the previous one, they are focused on meeting the needs of industrial sectors.
According to type of plastic
Rubbish bags are made of polyethylene. Depending on the pressure applied at the time of manufacture, polyethylene films can be HDPE or LDPE.
- High Density Polyethylene - HDPE: isa material that is thick to the touch. It is used for the manufacture of rubbish bags for heavier than normal work. They are very tear resistant.
- Low Density Polyethylene - LDPE: These are the most mouldable and malleable bags used for waste. They have a molecular structure that makes them very resistant to progressive tearing.
In addition to these two types of rubbish bags, we have biodegradable bags.
- Biodegradable rubbish bags: made from biodegradable polymers and organic materials such as corn starch. They are often used to contain waste that will be recycled. Because they are biodegradable, the bag itself is recycled along with the materials it contains.
Measurements of rubbish bags
One of the biggest questions we have when buying rubbish bags is what is the ideal size for my bin or bin.
With the help of a tape measure, we will solve the mystery.
To find out the width you need:
- Take the tape measure and measure the perimeter of the bin. Divide the measurement by 2. Add 10% to the resulting measurement.
Example:
Perimeter of the bin: 80 cm.
80 / 2 = 40
40 + 10% = 44
You will need a bag 44 cm wide.
Procedure to find out the length of the bin liner:
- Measure the height of the bin. Add the result of dividing the width by two. Add 10% to the resulting figure.
Example:
* Height of the bin: 50 cm.
50 + (50/2) = 50 + 25 = 75
75 + 10% = 82,5
The length of your bag must be at least 82.5 cm.
The gauge... what is that?
Another value that we can find when buying rubbish bags is the gauge. The gauge is a unit of measurement used to express the thickness of very thin or fine materials.
The gauge is obtained by multiplying the thickness of the object -in microns- by 4.
So, if a sheet of polyethylene is 30 microns thick, you can make 120-gauge rubbish bags.
These data will help you to know what a manufacturer is referring to when he puts on the packaging of rubbish bags a description like this: Black bags. 52×60 cm. 25 litres. Gauge 70.
Plastic rubbish bags
Another piece of information that could lead to confusion is the bag termination.
Many manufacturers give this information on their packaging, but few consumers know what they are referring to.
- Flat rubbish bags: These are the ones that end in a straight thermal seam at the end. These bags do not have any folds at all.
- Side-folded rubbish bags: For the termination of this bag, side folds are made before the thermal seam is made. This is the traditional fold that can be found in plastic bags very easily.
Value of a rubbish bag
The cost of the bags will not only depend on their size, capacity and thickness.
In some cases, rubbish bags incorporate special features that can make them more expensive.
For example, you can find rubbish bags with odour elimination methods, which makes it a much more expensive product than usual.
