What is a Biodegradable Tray?

Biodegradable Trays are those Disposable Trays that are composed by natural materials and easy to decompose in a very short period of time. These Disposable Trays have the ability to rejoin the earth by the environment’s action and thus help natural regeneration.

What Type of Biodegradable Trays do we have?

Sugar Cane Trays: Also known as Sugar Fiber Trays or Bagasse Trays, they stand out for their smooth and elegant finishing. They are available in two shades, white and natural, and have the advantage that they are Microwaveable Biodegradable Trays suitable for oven, but not for freezer, and resistant to oils and fats. Biodegradable Sugar Cane Trays are able to be decomposed in two months.

Bamboo Trays: Bamboo Disposable Trays are made of 100ºC thermoformed bamboo. They are perfect for situations in which the use of oven and microwave is not necessary, since these Biodegradable Trays are only capable of supporting up to 70ºC. Once they have reached their useful life, these Compostable Trays decompose completely in 4 or 6 months becoming natural fertilizer.

Wooden Trays: Ecological Wooden Trays are elegant, decorative and have a high quality. Although of fine design, these Biodegradable Trays are suitable for use in ovens, microwaves and freezers, as they can withstand temperatures above 200ºC. But this is not all! They are also perfectly resistant to fats and oils and are made from trees specially planted for their manufacture, and with very controlled felling.

Chinet Pulp Trays: Fiber Pulp Trays or Cellulose Pulp Trays are the alternative to Disposable Cardboard Trays. Environmentally friendly, Chinet Trays are durable but lightweight and are Microwaveable Trays.

Palm Leaf Trays: Palm Leaf Trays are the most complete as far as resistance is concerned. They are made from the naturally fallen leaves of Areca palm trees and can be used in the oven, microwave and freezer; they resist fats and oils and, with careful washing, these Ecological Trays are able to be Reusable Trays.

Cardboard Trays, Cardboard Trays with Handles and Fast Food Cardboard Trays: These Cardboard Trays have all the basic requirements regarding hygiene and ecology. Manufactured with high quality materials at an economical price, these Cardboard Trays are suitable for microwave and oven, and resist fats and oils.
